Well, as you can see by the picture below we are painting.
I had hired a mariachi band, there was a guest speaker even!-Picasso's granddaughter was going to give painting tips.
I had a big spread of pork rinds and Kool Aide for the painting party. I even had a driver standing by at the airport awaiting the arrival of all you painters.
The local sheriffs department even offered to help with crowd control. and wouldn't ya know it no one showed.
Some of you sent word of why you could not attend. I got such reasons as, "I have a colonic scheduled", "I have got to remove the corns from my mother-in-laws feet that day". I even got a "I have to wash my hair" while I am sure all these events were legit, I can't help wonder.
So,I guess it will be me and the Critter painting alone. good thing we like being together.
Please refer to the earlier post The Barn dated 2/18/09 if ya can't figure out what I saying here.
Look I would have loved to been there but I'm busy fightin the good fight. Maybe I'll be able to swing by before you finish up. luv u cuz
ReplyDeleteHi Scrappy,
ReplyDeleteNo more pork rinds? That's un-American... well at least un-Texican.
I just posted a suggestion at Crittr's Place, "Little Farm in Italy", suggesting a scaffold and wouldn't you know it that after I posted it, I thought of a much safer way to put the roof on.
It is something like this:
Put the loader on the tractor and fill the loader with dirt.
Dump the dirt against the walls of the barn on boths sides so it has support. Repeat this until you have buried the barn up to the top of the walls, leaving the bare roof frame exposed... Now the roof will be at ground level and easier to install!!!
When the roof is complete, remove all the dirt. (You may have to do some paint touch-up ha ha ha ha).
You may want to film this and put it on Youtube.
Yours Truely,
Garlic Man
Howdy Garlic. Just to let ya know. I hate marachai and did it for yall's benefit.
