We hit the drive-in again last night. We saw the new PIXAR movie UP. Critter and I were the only two adults without kids in a sea of about 70 cars. It was a great movie!

Critter and I are headed back the the coast next weekend. YEA!! We don't get away very often, but hotel on the beach and family and friends sounds great to me:-}

We have gotten 5 wedding invitations this year and this is the first one we will be able to attend. I can't wait.

Fancy Smancy Coffee Maker

The coffee maker, bottled water, spa atmosphere,72in flat screens in the patient rooms @ your dentist office are a sign you might be in deep doo doo. I went to CLEARCHOICE Dental Centers about getting my upper teeth done. Well, about 2 hrs. into the thing they tell me of my wonderful treatment plan and what they will throw in for free. after I pay them 22,000.00!!!! up front!!! I guess I won't be having another spa experience :-{

It's is only Tues. and this is how my week and mind have been going. So, I just had my first GIVEAWAY and I guess it went to fast and it was a holiday weekend and not everyone had to work and had zero plans, like myself. Well, I guess I will make up for it with yet another GIVEAWAY! I owe ya'll an apology.
I know, I am not the only one who has lost a loved one.
I am depressed and apparently, today was not my day.
I was, I am sure not to fun to work with or be around today and that blog! I am sorry. I was childish. It wasn't about followers or # of comments. It was just me losing it.
Have you ever wanted something so bad and couldn't get it you just end up with total frustration and go all haywire? I want my family back!!! I WANT TO TALK TO MY SISTER AND MY DAD. I WANT TO HOLD THEM AGAIN!!
On way way home I just grew more and more angry.
Critter suggested we go for a ride ( No, I didn't tell him how I was feeling but, he knew something was amiss I am sure) I rode and let go of the day for a bit and driving over to a friends tonight it hit me like a ton of bricks!
GIVE IT TO GOD!!!! I prayed and cried and it was then I found relief. I lost sight of what is most important to me and basically came unraveled.
I apologize.

Honey, does this saddle make my butt look big?

This has to be one of my favorite ways to view the world around meMy bay mare put some weight on this spring. They call it grass belly.

We have been very fortunate with all the rain this year.

GOD has blessed Critter and I in so many ways, the horses are just one of them.

Our girl is a grown up now! POST #95

Twinkie is officially a "woman" it happened yesterday and just as some women get a little moody our sweet little girl has turned into a demon! poor cats. She is showing no mercy.
It seems to be time to spend a day a the clinic and have a little surgery. The cats got done last year and they seem to be taunting her and telling her horror stories about the day Mommy put in the kennel and they went to this really strange place.
So now the power is even at the Scrappy/ Critter household. The testosterone vs. hormone war.
4 males and 2 females. but as you recall one cat has a gender issue and answers to the feminine name so HA! now the balance is even.

Midnight Raiders

YEA!!!!!!! The owner of the Raiders has built a large fenced area for the dogs!
I don't want people to think we wanted to kill them because, WE DIDN't they just kept coming into our barn and killing our cats, tearing up hay, and dumping and getting into our feed not to mention tearing up the doors to get to the afore mentioned.
I am so happy that he built the pen so now everyone is safe and happy:-}

Pickles Can Hear!!!!!!!

Good Afternoon Bloggy World,

This is Pickles aka Mom. (Pre-Op photo) She had her surgery and it went great!!!!!!!!!!! We are home and she is sleeping and except for the depth perception problem(She tried to get into the open car door from two parking spaces away) she is doing well. Not to mention the fabulous fashion eye wear the eye surgeon gave her.

Thanks for every ones prayers. She told me to tell yall she appreciates all the prayers and that prayers are what we all need.

I only have the one Mother who I would die for, and I think I was more nervous than her.

Her hearing seems to have improved since seeing the eye surgeon. :-}

We have to go back tomorrow so I will get to once again stay in my childhood home for another night. I had a blast last night.

My mom is having eye surgery tomorrow, so I am going to stay with her until Sat.
If you recall I called her about a month ago and she said she couldn't hear me so she was going to have her eyes checked.
Turns out she has bad cataracts so it's off to the hospital at 5 am in the morning and surgery is sch. for 7 am. ( I am loving harassing Mom about that line - Can't hear due to poor sight)
Think of her in your prayers she is a wonderful woman and I know you would love her if ya knew her.
So wish us luck and grace.

Well vacation has come to an end. Back to work in the morning. I did get some things done and I did get to catch up on my sleep.
The weather here today was wonderful, you couldn't have asked for a better day. It rained all day yesterday and the grass this year is looking wonderful.

Sad news today. The midnight raiders came back Fri. night.They killed 7 kittens and a pregnant Mom cat. The Momma cat was a great barn cat. I am gonna miss her.
I talked to the owner of the raiders and let him know that if they come back they wont be alive for long if we catch em. It was a friendly conversation and he understands but like he said the are just dogs the people dump in his yard.
He has all these dogs because people like to dump their unwanted animals out in the country. I don't understand that at all. There are shelters and free ads.
I just can't see how one can just dump their once loved animal out to fend for themselves.

VROOM, VROOM

Thurs night Critter was taking me to Olive Garden and we made a quick stop at our local Sears. We are in need of a Pancake generator. We didn't find one but we did find ourselves eyeing new lawn tractors so we do a little lookin around then leave for dinner.

Our current mower we got free, not really free my Dad made a deal with us about 6 years ago wherein he got a new dryer, I got the lawn tractor that was owned by my sister and she got a non-working push mower. Yea, my Dad could make deals that sounded great really until you were standing in your driveway with a non-working push mower and your sister just drove off with your working tractor and Mom and Dad were home using their new dryer.

Flash forward to today the mower leaves giant clouds of white smoke so thick you can't see, the seat cuts your butt, you have to use a hammer and screwdriver to start it and I could go on how the wheels are vertical and how the tires are racing slicks but ya get the picture.

We ended up talking about how we needed a new tractor and the expensive of one $1000-2000.00 for the type we need and how my Uncle Cleve (He owns a Sears store and lives on the Texas Coast) my have one we could get, so I call him and the next thing I knew ROAD TRIP!

We made a run to Rockport, Texas. 5 hours and your there. I love my Aunt and Uncle they are tons of fun and just great people.They have this great house right on the water. I love it at their house. Well, as you can see in the picture we now have a brand new lawn tractor with cruise control and all the bells and whistles. ME SO HAPPY!!!

I never did get dinner and I told ya I wasn't your avg. woman.

I am flippin excited over a mower.

I am not one for putting my face out there. Stalkers, fans, law enforcement, etc...

Open up and say AHHHH!!!

CD got his teeth done yesterday. He got a big ole tranquiler shot before he got his teefers done.

Dr. Hendricks is an awesome vet.

CD has some strange bald spots on his head and the Doc let me know it was a fungus. Yes, We have a fungus among us. So now we have a very expensive shampoo treatment to be done every other day. (The fun just keeps on comin)

I got one side and the back of the barn painted and tried to do some today but, with 40 mile an hour wind gusts I got more paint on me than the barn so I came on home.

Critter and I are helping out a friend renovate his house so we have put in all new flooring and hung sheet rock and are putting in doors and windows and I am doing all the taping and bedding. I was headed down there tonight to work on that and I tell ya I just ran out of energy! I am just worn out!!!! so since tonight is the finale of TOP MODEL my but is now home and kicking back and I will fight the good fight tomorrow

I have a wad of cash in my wallet and the banker on standby. Tues. all the kids are getting their check ups, shots and dental exams.
The one great thing is that the Vet comes to us and he is a super nice guy.

I ran over some kind of wire that ripped the rear tractor tire. Can you say kaching?$$$$$$$ Apparently, tractor tires are not cheap.

It rained this morning so I did some housework.
I have an inch gash on my forehead. The curtain rod ambushed me when I wasn't looking while I was trying to rehang curtains after washing them.
I flushed the toilet this morning and the handle broke
Gave up working around the house so, I went to the farm to weed eat and the Weedeater died for no good reason know to man. So I made the wise choice to just come home.
So how am I doing now?

I don't text I prefer to talk face to face
We don't have cable or Satellite
I have manual roll up windows on my truck
I love to send handwritten notes to friends in the mail
I don't do e-pay for my bills
I color my own hair and get it cut twice a year (so no real beauty shop chat in my life, unless you count the cat screams for food at me when I am blow drying my hair)
A big Fri night for us is going to Hastings and buying books and videos
I am moving to a farm and we think that the city we are living in a city of 3K people and one flashing light is getting to populated.

So am I out of touch?

Wait, I need to change one thing. I have an IPOD purchase on my very near future, but I now will need to learn about ITUNES I guess or does the IPOD magically know all my favorite tunes?
