A Horse

When I was a kid I use to pretend our BBQ pit was a horse. I had a blanket,reins and everything. His name was Silver. Silver was a 74 model. very stout about 12 hands. Now- that I think about him he was really a 55 gallon barrel on legs. Man, what an easy keeper! I never remember having a hard time catching him and I don't recall if he ever saw the farrier. Dad did replace a leg a time or two though.
I have always loved horseflesh and today Critter and I own three of these heavenly creatures. If you don't own a horse or never been around one. Think long and hard before getting ya one. If you do decide to go forth be prepared. here are some things to consider.
* Always have your banker on call
* Be prepared for the outrageous cost of dead grass ( We horse folks call it hay)
* Pedicures are now for the horse not you.(Every 8 weeks and break out the checkbook)
* Always tip your farrier( Horse Manicurist) and remember them @ holidays. A good farrier is worth their weight in gold
*Your vehicle will now be more geared toward the horse (A Mita just wont do the trick)
*Your children (as they will become known) will need clothes so buy you winter blankets in summer you will save a ton. they will need socks (Sport boots, leg wraps,shipping boots,fly boots)
*Hair condition for your baby will be chosen more carefully than you do for your own head
*If you don't know much about supplements You will.
*Finding a babysitter for the kids when you want to go on vacation is quite the ordeal
*Grocery shopping for the kids will require a dolly,not a buggy
*Check-ups and vaccination's for the kids are a must ( remember your vet on the holidays) bring the banker on dr. visit day
*You will never experience a greater joy and the unconditional love in life.

She knows she is a looker and she hates it if you work another horse and not her.She has the most beautiful gait. She opens truck doors, she is a thief if you leave your window down and your purse in reach. She will eat your BBQ sandwich if your aren't looking. She loves to make Critter mad. She is a instigator,sweetie pie, bully, and she is my beautiful, spirited mare. My Pic. I named her after my Mom
