Hodge Podge

One of these things is not like the other LOL Me and my mare Pic gettin in a family picture

I'm a Long Tall Texan :-).

I am on staycation. just doin whatever strikes me fancy :-)
We found out the house is for sale and the price is 2 MILLION!!! it does come with a hundred acres. A little to much land and a bit out of my price range:-(
House/Barn building has slowed a bit due to all the rain. Our road was washed out so we have to do road repair before working on the house.
I bought a $130 worth of cookie dough from a kid selling for the school district. ( Ya know when ya send your kid to my driveway saying can u buy something to help fund our trip?) Well, I did and the deadbeat kid only brought me half my stuff and said she would be back the next day with the rest. That was a week ago!! O Yea I will be calling the school tomorrow. I had planned to make the dough, gifts to some folks.
I got a new Netbook and I am still trying to get used to it. I am sorry about all the lurking on everyone's blogs and not leaving comments but I am trying to get used to this sensitive mouse pad
Hope yall have a great evening

Noah's Ark is no longer accepting passengers.

This guy showed up on our back porch last week..

I think word has gotten out on the street amongst the homeless kitty crowd that the house on main is some kind of haven.

Exploring Options.

I might have committed a small crime yesterday. I went to a vacant house and went inside.
This house would be my dream house (A history of murder is not a draw back) and I have talked to the Critter and he would also consider this option.
A large farm house on a hill with a long drive and surrounded by trees. I love it.
Move Scrappy? Aren't you building? Yes, we are but we have a glitch the property next to us sold and the man is a pompous jerk. I am wondering how this will work considering he put his "shop" right on our fence line. He is one of those "know it alls" that ya just want to smack.
Anyway, I have admired this house for a long time and rumor has it that it is for sale so the horsey friend and I went and took a look.
Early this summer a woman took her kids into this vacant house and stabbed and cut the girls throats . One daughter died there and the other survived.
The murder took place in a small bathroom and as I explained to my friend. The police after a crime do not clean up. The owner does. The owner has not and the huge amount of blood was still there.
Yes it is a horrific scene and I have nothing but compassion for those girls and their family. The fact it happened there does not attract me to the house. I am not one to seek out morbidity, It's just a great house and I think that the housing market and the history might have lowered the price on it.
So I am researching today to see if I can't find an owner.
The other thing I am doing is sitting at work with no vehicle cuz I buried the Big Dog (my dually) in the neighbors back yard this morning. Who knew the ground was still so wet that it would swallow my truck when trying to turn around.
So I guess that's another trespass crime I have committed. The neighbor house is vacant also.

On vacation starting at 5pm Headed to a huge festival in the morning The Country Reporter Festival for those of you local readers.

Have a great Day!!!!!!!!

He figures I can protect him from the ghost and ghoulies)

BOOOOO!!!!!!

I love Halloween. This time of year I only watch scary movies and read "true" ghost stories.
I don't get scared easily and I don't believe in ghost and ghoulies. I would stay in a so called haunted house. Curiosity would be my motivation other than belief. The other thing that really gets me in the mood is the cemetery which is less than 50 yards from my bedroom window.
Basically, we have a graveyard in the backyard. I love our neighbors. They are very quite and never come knocking on my door trying to sell me something.
When our house was on the market a couple of years ago I really was surprised how many people were freaked out by it.
After I had my back surgery and needed to do some walking. Mom and I would go walking through there reading all the stones. The oldest stone is from 1845.
All this scary movie watching and ghost stories has got my Critter on edge. He is not a fan. They give him the creepies but, somehow the graveyard doesn't bother him. Go figure.
So tonight will will watch the Omen. Last night we watched Exorcism of Emily Rose.
If you have seen it - Remember when the woman keeps waking up a 3am? Guess who woke up at 3 this morning and was totally freaked out?

Sorry Guys but I am going private :-(

After much thought and debate I am going private with this blog. I hate this because I have met some really nice people an example: Garlic Man he is not a follower but a devoted reader. Anyway, I have had it with her snooping and here is the story-

Wyoming, Michigan arrived from blogger.com on "Adventures in Ellis County and the Dollar Store

Me and my hubby met after he got divorced from the ex-wife from hell. She had a long affair with her boss and the marriage ended after she filed for divorce. She always blames me for thier divorce which is so strange since they were divorced before we were married. She has gone so far as to call me a "homewrecker" which is so funny because again they were divorced before we met. I think and yes, this is my opinion. Crawling into bed with another man while still married and then filing for divorce is what ended that marriage. but even that aside THEY WERE DIVORCED WHEN WE MET!

Well, Attila as we will refer to her (by the way I thought that was her name because that is the only name my husband used when referring to her) This will be my last post ever about you!!!!!So anyway, when we were dating she didn't live far from him and one Sat morning I was leaving his house and Attila comes out of nowhere screaming and beating on the window of my truck. This was the first time I ever saw the beast.

I debated on going further with the relationship because as you know I had a sister murdered due to domestic violence and I don't believe in physical violence which is her thing.

I did continue to date him and I am not saying there were not other issues involved but they were totally separate from her. We married after 3 months of dating.

We had planned our wedding and she got wind of the date and so we got married the day before at the house of a dear friend and pastor who just happens to be a police officer in my hometown.

Well she found out after the fact and when we got home she flipped yet again with threats of violence and threats to the kids and harm to her self. We called the cops and they go over to her apartment and guess who ended up in the psych ward?

He has 3 kids and they were school age at the time and one lived with us and the others visited on the weekends and whenever cuz she basically lived around the corner. Well, we had to call the police more than once and she basically continued to be a nut.

She hit my husband in the parking lot of a softball field one day because I was there watching a game my stepdaughter was playing in and she was yelling and screaming blah. blah blah.. this was her way. There a a million incidents such as this.

So one night all the kids are over and we are watching movies and she calls and all hell ensues because of the simple fact that the kids were near me. She comes over to our house and we are out on the porch and she proceeds to grab me and start hitting me. All this in front of her kids! I did not hit back! She hit me in my eye and now I am forever partially blind in this eye. She was arrested. She has never apologized or paid my medical bills for this. She bragged to her kids how she kicked my ass. I don't believe that the fact she resorted to physical violence is something to brag about especially in front of the kids. Small minds must resort to physical violence when they lack maturity.

Like I said, I put up with her bull for alot of years and there are so many times she threw her kids to the the curb or pitted the kids against their Dad and me its unreal.

The relationship between me and my step kids is strained because, I believe of the constant B.S. and I regret that but, if I ever tried to be a part of their life or attend their activities she always started something. So, I made the choice not to go to things like graduations for their sake I didn't want them to have to be embarrassed. It is not that I didn't care or want to be there. I am proud of each of you and despite what ya think I care and wish I could be a postive part of your lives.

I do care about them dearly but I don't think we will ever really have a close relationship. I don't think it is right to make a kid choose or be put in the middle.

I have NEVER done anything to this person. I tried to be civil with her. In fact to tell the truth I only remember only having had one direct conversation with her. She lives in the past and remains angry over things that happened so many years ago that where before my marriage to Critter. I have simply had it. She acts as if she is entitled or something.
I think she reads my blog to find things that she can use against my hubby or the kids who are now grown! I don't know. and frankly I no longer care! but my blog is personal to me and that I do care about.
I tell you of the past and bring it up so I can explain my reasons for going private.

Well, this past May his last child turned 18 and has gone into the service and Attila has moved to Mich. (YES WE ARE SO HAPPY BOUT THAT!) but for some reason the woman reads my blog.

This confuses me. WHY? What is the reason? My life and my thoughts are not her business!!!!!! So, with much regret I am going PRIVATE. I will always allow followers just send me a note and would be happy to link ya up! I will send all my current followers an invitation to follow

This post will remain up for a couple of days and then I will go private Sat mornin.

Yes, Its true my hometown has Unibombers

Plot to Blow Up a Building in DallasBy THE ASSOCIATED PRESSPublished: September 24, 2009DALLAS (AP) — A 19-year-old Jordanian was arrested Thursday on charges that he plotted to bomb a skyscraper in Dallas, federal officials said.
A statement from the United States attorney’s office in Dallas said the Jordanian, Hosam Maher Husein Smadi, was arrested after putting what he thought was a bomb at the 60-story Fountain Place office tower.
The device had been given to him by an undercoverF.B.I. agent. The Federal Bureau of Investigation had been monitoring the man, who lived in Italy, Tex. He is charged with attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction. Court documents do not list a defense lawyer.

Yes, this is my town
Yes, I am tired of some of our local citizens trying to get their 15 mins of fame on the local news
(Please, put a bra on before you talk to the media and give your "He was so normal" speech)
Yes, It is news but do we need to hear the same thing over and over ????
Yes, the FBI has the guy dead to rights and Thank the Lord nothing happened and no one was hurt.

I am so weak

If you knew me you would not be surprised.

I buy my gifts early each year for Christmas and give them at Thanksgiving.
My gifts are always themed around my Logo the "WJ".
It's my way to keep my dad and sister alive and in the gift giving broo-haha.

"Why is that Scrappy?"

Well, because I know of a personal instance that a gift was bought and wrapped for someone just waiting for Christmas to roll around so it could be given on the happy holiday.
The gift giver had past away and in the process of going through the belongings of the deceased the gift was found.
I found it so sad. It was a great gift and the person, I am sure would have loved the reaction it would have gotten upon being opened in their presence. Instead, it was a somber occasion.
So yours truly will never have a wrapped gift waiting for you. Yes, I will buy a gift. Yes, I will wrap the gift. However, you will unwrap it about 2 minuets after I wrap it.
I will see you expression and we will be happy.

"So why at Thanksgiving Scrappy?"

Because I don't care for shopping crowds and you will probably be at your other relatives on Christmas. SO Merry Christmas on the last Thursday in November!

"So why bring this up today Scrappy?"

Well, Critter's B-day is Oct 16 and I bought and wrapped his gifts last night.
Guess who opened their B-day gifts last night???

Happy Birthday Critter on September 23rd :-)

The Lord has answered our prayers

No the pics are not in order- When a horse stays in the run to stay out of the rain, they tend to make mountains

See these a my girley shoes and he has his manly shoes
How glorious!!!! were flooding over the road but, I am not one to gripe when we have had no rain in 3 months
