Red Tile?

BEFORE

GETTING CLOSER
The stove will go to the left of that pony wall and the sink will be right below the window.

Critter wants to do 6 in tiles for the countertops. I am thinking a dark red ??? The paint color will be a khaki color and we will have dark brown leather furniture. Fridge and stuff will be stainless steel. I need help with tile colors any suggestions?????

  1. I think dark red will be okay. However, dark colors make a room appear smaller, so I hope you have some lighter colors in there somewhere.

Don't forget to seal the grout real well.

That's my two cents worth, spend it wisely.

  2. Thank you for the invite to your blog. BY THE WAY, you CAN Block people from seeing your blog. Not sure how it is done, but I know I have a blocked option on my blog. Just never looked into it further. It is the pits that you have to keep it private.

  3. First, thank you for inviting me to be a part of your exclusive club! I know blocking certain people can be a real pain the patootie so I just delete comments...after all I am the queen and I can do that. But seriously, thank you for including me!
Second, I love red, BUT...you are going to have to live with those tiles for a while and unless you love red like I do, you might get tired of that color. I love parti-colored tile for more options in decorating and of course, I still love white for a clean look. I'm seeing it all in my head and Girlie, it's going to look wonderful!

  5. As far as stains go, the tiles will be okay. But after awhile, the grout gets darker from dirt and food stains, but it can be removed and new grout put in without affecting the tile.
