So I picked out the wall sconces for the barn and I have decided to go with the old wooden screen door. Ya know, The kind you always let slam shut as a kid?
More pics later to dang hot out there to take pics.
I hear ya on the heat. We're meltin here in E Texas. Thanks for stoppin by to comment on the red barn. I think we decided to go with the red. If we have to paint later, so bet it. I just want a red barn. I can't wait to see your barn/house all finished! That's gunna be neat!
ReplyDeleteWe were in Macon, GA last weekend and the heat index was 110! Glad to get back to good ole Tennessee where it's only in the 90s with 96% humidity!
ReplyDeleteLove the sconces, by the way!
You forgot #4...swear a lot that it is too freaking hot! Even the mosquitos won't come out and play when it's this hot. I love Texas, but you know we are all just a little bit throwed off to be living here in the summertime!

Howdy
ReplyDeleteHot is putting it nicely.
I can't believe it is starting out this hot so soon.
Oh well ,we do have that strong hot wind off the gulf to keep all the pesky bugs away.
Your fixtures are gorgeous !
I love the sound of a screen door slamming it always reminds me of my grandmas house and summer time.
Happy Trails
Hugs
Even here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (on Lake Superior) we were 89 today with humidity in the 80% range....that is really hot for us...!!!
ReplyDeleteI spent it out on the lake as much as possible!
and #5... drink lots of sweet iced tea!
ReplyDeletelove the sconces... and the screen door... hope you find an old one with lots of character!
I know ya'll are hot! Its not hot here yet but you bet yet sweet tea its gonna be. We've been lucky so far. its was in the low 80's today but come next week "look out", I will be wishing for the 90's just anywhere in there will do. Any way ya'll we will all be glissing together and the painting will get done in the fall, when the pain won't bubble when you put it on. The barn is going to be beautiful I can't wait to see it finished,

Feel you on the heat! It's been over 100 degrees for the last 8 days in Dothan (about an hour south of us). We are *lucky* here, the mercury is staying around 97 or 98, which puts the heat index at a comfy 107.
ReplyDeleteHow hot is it? It's so hot you just let the skeeters bite - too hot for swatting!
Good to know I am not the only one suffering.
ReplyDeleteOne thing to be greatful for it waill only last for a little while :-P Just think cool thoughts!!!
Scrappy..you're gonna love this--I was at work the other day and one of my co-workers needed scissors to cut some paper for something at her desk, and no one had scissors. Just as I was about to give up looking for some, I remembered that in my new penknife there's a tiny pair!!! lmao...they worked for what she needed and I got to tell the story of how I won them...lol
ReplyDeleteand yep---it's hot as F*ck here too!!
