Cooking 101

First find yourself a Man, woman, friend, cellmate, whatever to spend your life with and make sure they know how to cook.

That is the secret people. You don't need to take classes or spend hours over a hot stove just marry well!

There are people in this world who love to do this chore. I say "Good for them"

I tried to cook a couple of times.

No one ever told me to take the ring off the bologna slice. (First Husband almost choked to death)

Spaghetti, I hear is not supposed to be crunchy (Mine made the dog upchuck)

The Thanksgiving meal will be on the raw side if you don't turn the oven on(I wondered why I wasn't smelling the Ham aroma an hour after I put it in the oven)

1 cup of salt is very different from 1 teaspoon ( People politely smiled and put their napkins to their mouth at the company potluck when they ate my cake)

If you don't cook make sure you are always designated as the "Chip or Soda person for the company potlucks.

Always know where your nearest Olive Garden is just in case you and your loved one have a argument and you have to cook for yourself.

That concludes today's lesson.

  2. It also helps if you remove that inner plastic lining on the ham before cooking...makes for a really tender ham though!
I finally learned how out of desperation-Cat Daddy couldn't cook either. It was either learn to cook or starve. Not too fond of the latter!
