What do ya think??

I need help!
Lord knows I don't know how to make this barn come together and look like a home so I need help and some honesty- So since I follow a ton of bloggers with great taste (ex. Deb at Talking Trash, Dixie, and a million more just look at my blog roll to see the rest of em)
The floor is dark and hope you can see the paint color. It is a small space and the only thing Critter says we must have is a big comfy leather recliner like he has now but I am getting him a new one so can yall help me???here is the couch I found at Dillard's and I am really liking it what do yall think??

  1. I think it's great... and if you choose a leather recliner with that worn saddle looking leather... I think it will be perfect... you do good girl!

  2. I think it's beautiful. Is the fabric velvet or chenille. Will it hold up to a man living on a ranch...and animals? If the answer is yes, then my answer is buy it! My only other suggestion would be to ask if you (or him) will be sleeping on it? If not, and since the room is small, have you thought about a loveseat sized one? I think you need to buy yourself a recliner to match his. That's my dream for me and Cat Daddy. My problem is just like yours...finding one that is really comfy.
Well, I think I have made that clear as mud, huh? I say if you love it...disregard any and all suggestions and buy it...you'll never regret it.

  3. can I be perfectly honest? I have one of those huge, overstuffed, pillow for a back rest sofas and I HATE it. It's pretty and it looks nice, but it's SOOO uncomfortable when sitting because you feel like you're constantly being pushed off the sofa. and forget laying on it, you have to remove all the pillows, find a place to put them and then when you're done napping or whatever, put all the pillows back...its a pain in the ass.
My next sofa/loveseat set is going to be pillowless..for me that's the only way to go. (well except for those really cute throw pillows, but that's different)

  4. I like the couch the only thing is the arms. If you want to lay down there is no where to lay your head the arms are wood. Not that you couldn't put a pillow there just a suggestion. My mister has a distressed leather wing back recliner very comfortable!!

  5. The couch is gorgeous! Does it sit well? Comfort is important, as everyone has said. I personally like all the pillows. Our sofas have the back cushions attached and I'll never buy another one. You can't turn themm around to keep the filling balanced. And the seams rip where people sit ON them, rather than AGAINST them. I've had to mend both sofas at least twice. I like Dixie's idea of the worn leather recliner with your sofa. Can't wait to see pics!
