How big is 700 sq.feet? I am a numbers girl. Accounting is my game. I admit I have no vision when it comes to seeing my bedroom in the new barn. It is still just a bunch of pipes. I look at blue prints and they are just lines on the paper, no 3-D vision here. Can a family of two humans,3 cats and a dog live in tranquility in such sq. footage? What does one do if guest should come to visit, is there room for them?
Critter keeps telling me it's big, but I just can't see it.
The thought of selling everything in the house does not bother me. I only want a bed and the 2 night stands and the leather chair. Material things are not such a big thing for me. Sleeping is my major concern in such sq. footage. Citter will not be pleased when I announce to the world that, when he sleeps the dog freaks out at the noise. Get my drift? I sleep with the TV on to drown the noise. So, when we move what will I do?
God willing when we sell the house on Main and are with the horses full time I know I will be happy and we will be able to afford some much needed things like the surgery to stop the noise that scares the dog.
I guess I am just in a wondering phase. Like, how does one decorate a small space? If you have any storage ideas or any other tips on how to make 700 sq. feet feel like 2500 sq feet Please let me know I need help.

Can u see my bedroom or kitchen? Keep in mind only half is living space the other half is for the horse stalls.
I need your help and space saving ideas.
Just remember that what seems normal size in a store will grow in your new home. My home is small but I'm drawn to the BIG pieces and they get even more humongous when I move 'em in just like chia pets. Rule of thumb...measure, measure, measure! On another note, I read your previous posts on your boss's health. I want you to know I will add him and his family to my prayers. I don't know his name, but not to worry-God does. I also will say a little prayer for you. I can tell you are deeply worried about him and need a shoulder as well. Great writing. Debbie

I'll have to go back and read up cause at this moment I peeked here I'm NOT getting why your gonna make the barn a home lol?
ReplyDeleteMy kids and I grew up with a large cow farm and thats the barn I know heh, Debb
My folks live in a 30 year old converted hog barn. The floor slopes from one side of the house to the other. 1800 sq foot under the roof, and that is half my dad's workshop and the "breezeway", a space with 4 doors between the chicken/duck/dog yard and the goat yard. This is also where my mom hangs her clothes and all animal feed is stored. No walls in the house except for the bathroom, which was added on when they moved in. They've been there for 10 years now.
