Finished up Black Friday on the Texas Coast

I saw people laying everywhere. I heard screams "Medic!!!!" I saw husband's clinging to walls trying to climb them while the whole BF Gala was in full swing.
Scored a Waffle Iron and Crock Pot for 8 bucks!
Got all the seasons of Family Guy and tons of DVDs for 2 bucks!
I got a Shark Steam Mop for 8.86 regular 49.99 (Good deal money wise but, the product itself blows)
and a bunch of other good stuff. I only went to help a friend get what she wanted but, I ended up having a total blast.
We went to my favorite Sears in Rockport, Texas and got a microwave/vent-a-hood thing for a very low price and had dinner with my Critter overlooking the bay.
A good time all the way around :-)
Critter has been doing some work on the barn and I will snap some pics later.
Have a blessed day :-)

Blessings to you this holiday season.
We are doing well. He got the barn winterized today and I think we are ready for winter here at WJ Farms. We for the first time are having an intimate Thanksgiving dinner for two this year and I am making a pie from scratch!
Both are mom's are continuing in their recovery. and we have other good news :-)

This is my stepdtr Tabi and the one you cannot see in this pic is baby Mason due to arrive after the first of the year.

The above is my stepson Justin who we just had the pleasure of spending time with and having way to much fun with the grandkids. The little guy calls me Donut :-) Donna just didn't seem that easy to pronounce.
My brother and an amazing man in my life is going in for a drastic surgety at the end of the month and I am so scared for him but I trust in our Savior and know that he will be ok.

In closing meet Ms. RH she will be baptized next week and can't wait to see her on that joyus day.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

" I don't know what tomorrow holds but, I know who holds tomorrow"
I just love that quote.

Not much going on been cold and rainy. So, rainy in fact, Critter buried his truck in the mud and had to drive me to work in the Big Dog and leave his "pup" buried to the doors in mud. LOL!!!!!!!!!
and as a good wife always does I reminded him how silly it was to drive in said mud the entire commute to my job LOL!!!!
(He got it out before I could snap a pic

Hospital

Mom is up :-) She won't be able to come home for a few more days :-(

So, Mom is giving you a visual. She swears the last time she was in the hospital was when she gave birth to me.

I picked up some jammy pants for her. I think Sock Monkey is fitting:-)

So Mom aka Pickles has double pneumonia and has been diagnosed as a diabetic. She is tired and a little weak but never loses her sense of humor

Panic

Mom also known as Pickles is in the hospital.
My Niece went by her house and no answer.
She was on the floor.
They got her to the hospital and along with the anemia they diagnosed her with pneumonia. She will be staying for a few days.
Mom says she was just so weak she felt her legs give out.
To say I am panicked is an understatement.
Nothing can happen to Mom. SHE IS MOM!
SHE MUST BE OK!
My MIND IS RACING AND MY HEART IS POUNDING. i FEEL SO HELPLESS!!!!!!!!!
I WILL TRUST IN MY LORD AND SAVIOR!!!!!

Country Reporter Festival

Every year there is gathering in Waxahachie put on by the Texas County Reporter tv show. It is a never miss for me and this year I scored my second Brian Asher piece. He is an AMAZING artist. these are pencil drawings that are just tiny slashes put together and if you didn't know and just looked at em you would swear they were black and white photos. go check out his web site http://www.brianasherart.com/index.html I scored my first one about 3 years ago and got the chance to talk to an amazing down to earth cowboy

I got to talk to him again today and this super nice cowboy gave me a 75.00 discount on this lovely. Look at the detail he puts in his pieces. mind blowing!

So, it now hangs in my bedroom, looking great and I think that one of Deb's http://talkingwhitetrash.blogspot.com/2010/10/shade-y-deals-at-sunny-acres.html Burlap lampshades are another touch that would compliment our barn home- go check this beauty out

We also picked up some homemade treats and a Cinnamon Apple pecan pie :-)

I am stuffed :-)
Have a blessed evening yall

Critter wars

Saturday Critter turned 21 and he has been wanting a game system so he could play golf in the winter. Winter slows down all farm work. gets to dark too early so we have some down time. This grown man wanted a toy for his birthday and a toy he got. and boy! is it fun!!!

What you are looking at is a split screen .Call of Duty. Yes, Critter and I are have each other in our sights. Obviously a great way to take out your frustration with your spouse. Critter kept promising me he would shoot the enemy and not me, HE LIED! This game is so fun.

This is how this vet prepared for war. No, ruck sack for me just my blankie

The whole warfare thing just wore Little Dude out.

Cha,,Cha..Changes.........

So, have you guessed that there have been changes here?
First Clue: Me cooking

I left my job and it was not something that was easy for me to do. If you recall one gentleman there was a mentor to me and he is suffering from terminal cancer and to make a choice that has resulted in me not seeing his smiling face on a daily basis was heart wrenching. One thing over the years that he re-enforced is, Life is to short! so, for me things and stress had gotten to the point that it was affecting me in my personal life and creating stress at home. SO, with Critter's encouragement I "jumped" Working there over the years I have grown fond of a couple of others and hope we don't loose touch.

So, what to do now?
First- Saddle up and ride away the stress and trust in the fact that GOD will guide me in what to do next.
Critter told me if I wanted to look for another job go for it. If not, stay home.
He is amazing!
He said to me that he liked coming home and me being here and dinner being ready and my new relaxed mood.
That left me with a problem. I DO NOT COOK! I made the two things I know how so....
Hmmm??? Now do I take cooking classes? NO!

Yesterday, I accepted a position with more benefits and more money and less stress so it seems I will not be taking a cooking class. Sorry, Critter.
I don't start for another week so going to have some more saddle time till then.

Brace yourselves!

As you can see Critter found a new toy. If you come to visit be careful you or you and your truck (cause this thing digs big holes and I assume everyone I know drives a truck) don;t fall into a crater.
Whats is it with him and the hole diggin???

Also, I have now cooked dinner two nights in a row SCARY! tonight stuffed cornbread. I now sit on the couch so full I am about to bust and Critter is back to playin in the dirt :-)

Have a Blessed Evening

Breathing

Things have changed for me a bit and I am now able to breathe. some stressors gone some small ones added but, this to shall pass. I came through the gate early this mornin and did some work on the landscape and then saddled up and rode my bay mare for awhile. I have not rode her in over a year and it was WONDERFUL!!!!!

Awww Weekend

We have had a great weekend. Fri. night I was running and jumping up and down by the front gate (like Steve Martin in THE JERK when the phone book arrived) because Critter brougt home the storm door and a new WEEDEATER! Oh yes, I do get really excited over new landscape equipment.

We spent yesterday with my dtr and her fella. A nice dinner then on to the drive-in. The drive-in provides the most interesting people watching.
I highly recommend Wall Street and The Town.

So, now I sit here with all the windows in the house open and Critter is making dinner and chocolate chip cookies.

LIFE IS GOOD ;-) Have a blessed evening
