A New blog

I am thinking about starting a second blog about Nursing Homes. A sort of geneeral advise blog about Medicare, Long Term care Insurance., do's and don'ts when chosing and placing a loved one in a facility. Heck, I have been in this industry since I was 15 yrs old. Yes I am now about to be 43. I think it could be helpful

Still here!

Good evening. I am still here. :-)
It's been a long couple of weeks. We got CritterMom moved in and getting some therapy at the facility I work in so,I am able to check on her throughout the day. Critter says he feels better now that she is there.
We are getting back on track and trying to get back to working on the barn.

Opening my eyes to who I am

I have realized in the past week that seeing my Critter in distress is one of the most painful things I have ever had to witness.
I have learned the power of forgiveness. I have had a strained relationship with my Mother-in-Law but, now I know that it does not matter.
She has suffered a massive stoke and will most likely need constant care for the rest of her life and I will do whatever I can do to give her the best quality of life.
She is Critter's Mom and my love for him has taught me I need to let go of my indifference's and let my actions speak for me.
I will help Critter and his sister place her in the facility I work in hopefully, this week and from the day she arrives, I will do whatever I can.
I will be there daily to check on her and attend to her needs and maybe, I can help relive some of the stress on Critter and his sister.
I will do her laundry,buy her clothes and bedding etc.. (One cannot sleep on sheets less than 500 thread count. I have taught Critter this important lesson in life) I will do whatever. Not, because I am trying to gain favor or to be noticed but, because She is Critter's Mom and because she is in a difficult situation and unable to help herself.
I have learned that I am still growing and learning at the age 42.

My sister Lisa would have been 50 this past Friday, Maybe, it is her guidance and the Love of Our Lord that is guiding me.

A week later she is still in ICU and we are taking things day by day. Praying the Lord's wisdom will guide us.

Life is to real!

Critter's mom has had a massive stroke. seeing him so upset and scared is unreal. HE IS A ROCK and always in control. I am in auto pilot. Praying that she will be OK>

Never gonna take the indoors for granted again.

The shower is up and functional!! It felt wonderful
I am still undecided what to do in the bedroom. I found a bedding set I think, goes well with the room\

What does a hose,truck bed......

a Critter and a wonderful moonlight have in common? The answers is... how I took my shower Sat. night.
We have got all fancy and moved our hose (redneck shower) to the inside of the barn. The walls came into today and now we are waiting on the doors. I LOVE country living :-)
The Lord has graced Critter and I with a wonderful life. I never knew we could be so blessed.

What day is it or is it night?

WE NOW LIVE FULL TIME ON THE FARM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

O Gawd! The closet!!! Seems like less work for me to shut the door and ignore all the work that needs to be done. I am old and tired. Who wants to come whip it into shape ?


The sink is in and working. Critter is still working on the drawer fronts


The bed is here. I have ordered an awesome bedding set should be here by Tues :-)

Just a observation

Moving in 105 degree heat is not very fun.
Bathroom vanity and lights are in place.
I will try to post pics tomorrow. In the mean time here is a pic for your viewing pleasure

I am not a shopping fan

I am tired or am I old? either way it's gonna be worth this exhaustion.
some quick pics. I need to hit the shower because I can smell myself and I no longer smell my perfume or deodorant I put on 18 hours ago.
We took a break tonight and cooked ribeyes for friends and had a nice dinner and Critter tried out the new stove and his pots and pans.
Remind me to tell ya later why you don't send a woman who does not turn on a stove, to purchase your new kitchen ware :-)

BUY PLATES, BUY TOWELS, PUT IN TOILET AND SHOWER, PUT IN ROAD, BUY COUCH,PUT IN CLOSET RAILS AND SHELVES, BUY FAUCETS, BUY,DOORS, BUY SILVERWARE, BUY SHEETS, BUY BED......................... WE ARE SO BLESSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I JUST RETURNED FROM THE COAST WITH THE WATER HEATER AND STOVE AND I AM BEAT!! SO I WILL FILL YA IN LATER BUT, FOR NOW ONWARD!!!!!!!

Me -No clue how to work this or really what one can accomplish with it.
Him- Excited about his new toy but, sad he can no longer use cast iron.
