A blurb about The Critter and I. Our horse paradise of 10 acres in a very small town. The Struggles and Triumps of everyday life, of our farm equipment (that was state of the art during the FDR administration) along with all the amazing things Critter can build. and all the things that the horses , cats and dog can do to bring joy and insanity to our lives. Two adults from the city into the country. Living in a barn that Critter built all by himself! and my ramblings :-)

A New blog
I am thinking about starting a second blog about Nursing Homes. A sort of geneeral advise blog about Medicare, Long Term care Insurance., do's and don'ts when chosing and placing a loved one in a facility. Heck, I have been in this industry since I was 15 yrs old. Yes I am now about to be 43. I think it could be helpful

I can't think of anyone better qualified. Go for it! :)
ReplyDeleteBeen quietly following you for a while. Love your blog. Great idea re: starting a nursing home/care blog. Please do. Have two sets of parents with the potential for a such a decision needing to be made in their futures. It's scaring me witless. You could be such a help.
ReplyDeleteMatt, Thank ya :-)
ReplyDeleteCamille,
Thank You! and welcome to WJ Farms. I am going to do the blog I am aiming to have it started by the weekend. Yes, It is scary but the more informed the less scary. My Critter(hubby) has had a hard time with the transition but, he is doing better with it ea. day. If ya have any questions just email me and I will try to help ya.
Howdy- do - I've been missin' everybody! I've not been able to blog much lately...
ReplyDeleteI think a nursing home blog would be wonderful! There are so many of us out here in blogland that are in the sandwich generation - between grown kids and aging parents. I know me and my hubby are going through that right now. His dad passed away last year, and his mom is in an Alz. unit. And most of us don't know squat about nursing homes until we HAVE to do something under duress with our parents.
I'll be looking forward to this new blog! Thank you for "giving back"!
